Are teams allowed to fire a manager at halftime of a Champions League game? What about before that?

There were two follow-up films; neither was “The Ongoing Obligations,” which seems like a bit of a missed opportunity.

The Save-On on Cambie by 7th has a British foods section and I can’t say for certain whether they have it but it might be worth a look.

If I had a nickel for every time Franz Ferdinand was involved in the precursor events of a world war, I’d have two nickels, which isn’t a lot, but it’s weird it happened twice

Frank D'Angelo - Wikipedia
He also beat a sexual assault charge even though the judge said he was probably guilty and went out drinking that night with two prosecutors and a cop who was subsequently charged with obstruction.

He’s a Canadian business/media weirdo who does stuff like hire a disgraced sprinter who lost an Olympic medal for steroids to star w/ him in commercials for his Cheetah energy drink (b/c it sounds like cheater hohoho), or hire a then-broke James Caan for one of his self-produced vanity films, etc.

Just an astounding shot.
And a charming little detail: the way he yells at the rock to curl even though there are no sweepers.

I also think the list tells you more about how different languages work than about any kind of cultural differences. I’m no expert but I think some languages (like German) create compound words in situations when English keeps modifiers separate: we say “walk like a chicken” not “chickenwalk” or w/e

I think it would be easy enough to come up with a similar list of words in English—off the top of my head: lope, stroll, strut, amble, ramble, hike, stagger, stumble, sashay, wander, pad, sneak, stomp, perambulate, shuffle, traipse, tiptoe, march, skip, step, trudge, tramp, stamp, etc., etc.
