There’s nothing new under the sun yall.

Most stories are inspired by or draw from other stories, bc that’s how creativity works— you soak up things you do and don’t like like a sponge until they flavor your own work.

Most games are built on the structures of other games.

Oh yeah, and we need to kill this idea that all tropes are bad and like of course, genres will have tropes, that's the entire point. that's what stories ARE, they have TROPES they are not inherently good OR bad, they just ARE*. And you can like or dislike certain ones, but that doesn't CHANGE them

Prepping for holiday meals really have you like on the most epic quests. You get everything and then are like 'oh god, I need chicken fat, baking soda, and a new spatula.' and none of them are at the same store.

The new BG3 path coming out is basically just free DLC, and I am stoked.

“Modern gaming” is dope as hell. We are just currently stuck in a deeply regressive social spiral and those tend to want to take art (which includes games and “new media”, now) back in time too.

It’s wild to me that the moment you have the time, energy and resources to pursue hobbies, there will be some a-hole telling you you shouldn’t have those hobbies bc they’re “childlike”.
