Three watercolour landscape paintings of snow in the Pennine Hills

There’s the three. Snow in January on a Calderdale little farm. Lots went wrong but lots went right and I’m happy. That’s all the snow pics now until it returns.

A dead branch against a background of dead leaves. The branch has white ice formed along it that looks like hair or candy floss.

Another first for me aka another dog walk bonus. Hair Ice in the local woods today. Apparently a fungus, Exidiopsis Effusa causes it on rotting broadleaved wood in certain conditions.

A young border collie lying in the snow looking up at his owner. He’s looking straight at the viewer. He is traditionally marked with white fur around his black nose, a narrow white blaze up to his forehead, a white ruff of fur and a white chest. He has a lovely ‘soft’ expression.

Thank you Helen. I used to see lots about the fields where we used to live and miss seeing them so regularly now. That distinctive song still stands out when one’s about though.
