People are seeing Storage Sense enabled, not paying attention to the specific settings, and saying "it's enabled for me too!!!" Even though it's actually not working in the same way as on your computer. But they don't realize that, and they've just panicked and made themselves mad for no reason.

That's because they are confused about what is being discussed. No one will have the feature configured like you have because your company did that. "Storage Sense" itself is technically enabled by default, but only to delete internal temp files and empty the Recycle Bin.

The machine didn't! This is why misinformation is so easy to spread. If you had actually followed that thread you would've seen that OP'S COMPANY configured that feature to empty the Downloads folder on a regular cadence. The feature doesn't work that way by default.

It doesn't remove needed files, you freak liar. By default it only removes unneeded temporary files, which is a necessary feature every OS has. You are dumb as fuck and need to shut the fuck up.

You have no clue what temporary files can or can't be safely removed. Windows absolutely knows better than you do. This is the dumbest thread of all time. You all freaked out about a piece of misinformation and are now childishly scrambling to find a way to pretend you weren't wrong.
