Watching the #broncos this season is boring!
Defense is pretty good but the offense is barely functional.
Some how the word time-line was dropped!
"I truly hate this #political time-lime we are in..."
We need to do better. I as well as I suspect most of you feel VERY helpless.
We are living in an oppressive time right now. I guess the 1 bright side is we can affect change at our community level.
IDK what that looks like for me, but I think I've had enough where I NEED to do something...
Well... Here we are. In a giant fucking consequence!
Don't get me wrong. I hate that we are the bully in the world right now. A big giant fucking bully. But Trump and Hegseth and the rest of his clowns are just a consequence of the Tea Party during the Obama years.
I would definitely say the rhetoric during the #Obama years fueled this timeliness we are in now.
It seems counter-intuitive to blame the Obama administration for this. Honestly I would also blame #Pelosi and the Dems in power at that time.
Remember when Obama said "elections have consequences"?
I truly hate this #political that we are in.
The pendulum will swing back but im afraid it will be just as extremist as we see now (except it will be on the left).
Honestly we are seeing the results of the #TeaParty that are in power now.
A great sunrise!
It's one of the FEW issues I agree with this administration on.
H1-Bs have been a way to underpay American tech workers for decades. Companies have made billions of dollars off of depressed wages on the backs of these H1B workers.
Although I feel for the people that this will impact, I'm glad to see the H1B change to support the local tech talent.

Haven't been on here in awhile! I'd like to be more active here!

Here is a post I started about a year ago and just got around to finishing!

Today was a total shit day! Did anything go terribly wrong? No. Did anything go terribly right? Also No.
Just kind of a wierd vibe day. I might need a vacation!
Been to DC a few times. Each time the food has been amazing!
I was looking at what Gracie was watching... There was a rabbit that she was eying.
Just as an update. I talked to my therapist, and it felt good to get things off of my chest.
Having a #therapist isn't a quick fix. I've found that it takes time to be comfortable to share stuff. I'm still learning how to do #therapy.
I'm feeling better.
I'm struggling today...
Just in my feels today w/a couple of things...
Trying really hard to not let my frustrations show to my team.
It has NOTHING to do with them. There is stress at work, but that isn't because of them...
Just struggling today...

#Havoc on #Netflix was dumb.
I have an outsourced dev team (contractors), that is making my life harder.
We had conversations about the design and they went a different direction w/o consulting me. This is causing many issues.
If you are going to make my life harder then you probably will be eliminated from the "solution"
This quote is 100% perfect (in context of optimismof the programmer):
"This time it will surely work" or "I just found the last bug"
I wish I was sleeping, but I'm going to keep reading until I can sleep again...
A bit of insomnia tonight.
I started reading "The Mythical Man Month"
A book that was written the year I was born.
I'm struck by how accurate they describe programmers (the good and the bad).
I have to admit, even with it's passive agressive tone. I'm really impressed with #Gemini
What #AI tools are you using when you #code?
If you aren't yet, why? I'd like to know.
Holy hell... I've been trying to get KickConnect hosted (again) on #AWS for the last 2 weeks. Right now my API is using ElasticBeanstalk and my front end is using Amplify...
I have my domain and certs all working too!
I had to do way to much AWS engineer work for this. They need an #easybutton
I've been using Gemini a bit and I've noticed it isn't as friendly as CoPilot...
I get messages that say: "It clearly says..."
Listen here... If I wanted to be called an idiot, I have my coworkers to do that for me. I don't need to be called out by a machine! :)
Just kidding overlords...
Now I'm trying #Amplify and I'm on my 2nd retry attempt with 22 deploy failures...
It seems like AWS needs an easy button. I'm contemplating just going to an old fashion hosting company.
Does anyone have any suggestions? It shouldn't be this HARD!!!
Am I the ONLY one that finds #AWS deployment procedures to be a GIANT pain?
RANT:
I've tried #ElasticBeanstalk w/1 success (after about MANY attempts). Then I tried updating my site w/domain & SSL and I couldn't get it to work again!
I'm TRYING to deploy my Angular frontend UI via #Amplify on #AWS. Of course there are issues. Everything that I do personally on AWS is ALWAYS a GIANT issue!
Not sure if there is anyone that can help but here is my #StackOverflow question...
stackoverflow.com/questions/79...
Deploying to AWS has always been a pain in the butt!
I'm using elastic beanstalk and I've gotten it to work but I've made changes to my domain and now it does not work! π
I think I learned an important delegation lesson yesterday
My Sr. Dev thought we needed to add backlog grooming to our process.
I said "You seem to have a plan, can you run these?" He was happy to do it.
I'm hoping this empowers the team in the future.
More to come!

Feeling very fortunate today.
Nothing in particular happened, just feeling grateful to be where my life is currently.
