Yes, this! And if you can include photos they'll relate to, even better. I found a woman on my mother's 1940 census. She's in her 90s now and phone calls didn't work at first. She was so happy to get my package full of pictures of people from her childhood.

Exactly. Also, after asking her to look at the back of one of the photos, a sister Mom never told me about, I found an aunt. She was only four hours away (Tampa-Jax) all that time. We've been close ever since. 💜

Thanks! I was trying to confirm if her "Geneva Barnett" was my grandmother. I didn't know. Then I saw a photo of her with my own mother holding my brother. Then I spent the rest of the week looking at images of a grandmother I'd never met. #GenHour

I messaged a potential family member on Ancestry with no answer. It was a Mary Jones (not looking that up!) Then on a forum/board, I found she'd left a link to her fb page. She had 365 "ancestor photos!" That's where everything I researched was confirmed. I cried. My own mother was on there.
