And when we venture out of our den of despair, there are things like those happening!
I've noticed my Bluesky feed has become almost exclusively focused on politics. While that's important, we all need a little more joy to balance the angst. This makes me happy. Enjoy the color!
2/2 It's not that they are rich. Most of us would like more money. It's the corrupt and selfish way they try to hang on to and grow their wealth with no regard for the impact in the rest of us.
Who remembers what we learned in high school social studies well enough to define oligarchy? Here is a reminder.. "oligarchy, government by the few, especially despotic power exercised by a small and privileged group for corrupt or selfish purposes."

Not all of the chaos is coming from Washington. Time for change at Atlanta City Hall?

2/2 Lt. General Hal Moore and his wife Julie earned the honor of the fort, where they are buried, being named for them. Their service to the military and to our country is well known here in Georgia. This action is a slap in the face to their memory.
How is renaming this military base saving me tax dollars? Gaslighting us about the change - that the change back to Benning is to honor a corporal who served in WWI and not the Confederate general of the same name - is outrageous. 1/2

Tuberville is such a moron I'm not sure why the media even reports on the drivel that comes out of his mouth
DOGE recommends cuts to the FAA.
Hundreds of workers get fired, including those tasked with producing air traffic navigation maps.
Now Starlink is reportedly in line to take over a $2 billion contract to upgrade the nation's air traffic control systems.
See how this works?

Sweet! Love to see that little bit of sentimentality over the shirt.
It's fun to joke about Trump, and this one captures the essence of who he is, but I'm reminded there really isn't anything funny about what is happening to our country.
WTF indeed!
About damn time. Now that he has completely broken our mail system, he resigns. USPS was never perfect, but in the past few years it has gone from fairly dependable to unusable. All thanks to Louis DeJoy. Of course now Trump and Musk/DOGE will probably eliminate it all together.
You may be forgetting this gem from Richard Nixon in the Frost interview... youtu.be/dMt8qCl5fPk?...
What an amazing feast!
A great start at Twisted Soul Cookhouse and Pour.
Best ad from the Superbowl.
For some, when you say rail, they think train, and all experience with trains is that they are loud, ugly and dangerous. They also define the "wrong side of the tracks". Not many positive images associated with trains. For the rest of the naysayers, it's all about keeping "those people" away.
In a sane world this guy would be "resigning effective immediately to spend more time with his family". But it's not a sane time. We are living in the upside down
Marco Rubio's new acting undersecretary of state for public diplomacy, ladies and gentlemen.
