HIGH FIVE TO BC FOR GOING PERMA DST.
Not seen: A farmer with a boat and a bag of grain scrumpling up his plans and throwing them away in a tearful fit of defeated pique
Missed worldbuilding opportunity!
What in the fucking time dilation is the year 2026.

Hello, book people! I am the book content editor for Reactor Mag and I'm looking for 2026 sci-fi, fantasy, horror, romantasy, and speculative books coming out in the second half of the year! If you have an adult or YA SFF/H book out July-Dec (or publicist), share the link/info here!
I tore up a book after I had a nasty interaction with the author and then found out he had a habit of being a gigantic ass to women. Never thought I’d do that. Tearing apart a book is physically difficult, though, and exorcises the bad feelings quite well.
I was bummed when rafe judkins was axed so they could bring on rdm but am now glad that he won’t have to face another toxic fandom.
We will stop getting fantasy and scifi adaptations with this behavior. It’s not out of love of the ip but a desire to destroy.
This is why we don’t hand this shit to ai. RIP, hero.
That’s my recollection, re: the spot in the book. If I wasn’t reading a library copy, I would have done the same.
I’ve only read 1.5 of his books. That scene was enough to say byebye.
Olympos has a scene in which a man rapes a woman that’s in cryosleep because the agent needed to wake her is semen. It might not be the worst thing about that book.
My theory is that they actually hate the IP and there’s some grudge to hold onto it that’s spurring almost 20 years of shenanigans

Here’s a thing I drew depicting Percy Shelley’s death. He was such a shit. Percy Shelley haters UNITE!

As an avowed Percy Shelley hater, I take delight in this.
That mix is kind of yikes. It’s crunchy on those hits and higher vocal notes.
An oval miniature painting of a long eared bat depicted as a gentleman in a fancy lace ruff
If I painted you an Elizabethan Bat in a ruff with a Pearl earring, would you want to hang it upside down?
Real “I know you showed me how to clean the kitchen but it’s so hard and you do it better” energy
This sounds like it will give me nightmares and I can’t wait to read it.
Raises huge questions about AI regulation in Canada. In what ways are AI companies monitoring conversations and what does this mean for privacy? In what cases are they obligated to contact law enforcement? Was the shooter underage at the time and should minors have unfettered access to chatbots? Etc
You could always go for dryer lint paper
We didn’t watch movies unless they were adaptations of work we read (eg Hamlet). But during our history of the Americas class, we were given permission to enact a coup as a class exercise and a small group took the principal, classmates, and teacher hostage. So we had fun.
I need to get some suits for work purposes and now know exactly what look to go for. Bonus pts I have resting stoic slav face
Bingo
Barry’s. Possibly Yorkshire Gold. Or any Assam blends that are generally consumed with milk. If you want to be more bitter (like coffee) then steep longer—like 5+ min.
Did it all mention the abuse of the crew and the walk out/attempt to unionize early on?
At this point—It’s like that saying about having one fascist at a dinner party. If you’re still there it’s implicit endorsement.
