The news is a lot and so much of this hits harder since becoming a parent, in ways I couldn't have fathomed before. But today my toddler made my baby laugh and vice versa and that will fuel me for a while.

In true Seattle fashion, I was talking to a woman on the other team while we waited for play to restart and she said, "hey at least it stopped raining!" And I had to break it to her that it actually was still drizzling. And we both laughed that she just hadn't noticed.
I said several years ago that I was too old to be playing outdoor soccer during the winter season and that's still true actually. My butt was frozen.
