Local elections!
This truly is mesmerizing. π³
It shows the insanity and amateurism of this administration. The fact that this is possible, however, and about one-third of Americans are fine with it, is what is truly mind blowing.
Entrapment!!! *
(* I am not a citizen and it is illegal for me to vote.)
Very telling that this important op-Ed, written by a member of the House Homeland Security Committee is published in @us.theguardian.com and not a U.S. legacy media outlet.
Marjorie βJewish Space Lasersβ Taylor Greene is a βhard-line Christian conservativeβ, according to BBC. π€‘
Then again, you are a St Etienne fan, so it comes naturally. π
The world we live inβ¦ The Jerusalem Post publishes an op-Ed by English far-right thup and serial criminal βTommy Robinson.β Following the Israeli governmentβs increasing embrace of even the most extreme far right in Europe and beyond.
AS Roma sells match-worn SHORTS of its womenβs team. Sexualizing your own players. Gross!
I can offer you a pastryβ¦ not necessarily a good pastry. Tgis is Athens, after all. π
So sorry, coffee is on me tomorrow! Iβll even treat you to something sweet!
True, Israel usually never bombs or invades Lebanonβ¦
Useful contribution!
Toppertje! π
The EU and individual European countries have no idea how much damage their protection of Israel does to their reputation in the Global South β and some progressive parties to their voters at home. This can have generational effects!
This is absolutely INSANE! Israel has attacked Israel and Lebanon, unprovoked, but for the EU Hezbollah is the problem. π€·ββοΈ
Very much looking forward to this event with @rosabalfour.bsky.social & @cfieschi.bsky.social
What an interesting and inspiring conversation with @rebeccasolnit.bsky.social β€οΈ
So much to reflect on⦠and to be better on.
The securitization of the 2026 World Cup is such a fascinating topic. I wish I had the resources (i.e. an external funder) to do a comparative study, comparing national responses between the three host countries as well as local/regional differences within each country (particularly U.S.).
And Canada and Europe...
I fully agree! The same for Europe, including traditional pro-US countries like Germany and the Netherlands.
Both Republicans AND Democrats miss the fundamental transformation that has taken place in Europe. Not even speaking of the generational effects!
There indeed is so much to fight for, and in some countries (looking at you, US), some old fights have become new fights.
One thing (academic) men can do is not participate in manels! It can be uncomfortable at times but it is also still necessary. Hereβs my experience: π§΅
Whether by coincidence or design, Putin and Russia are the big winners of the disastrous Iran bombing so far.
More than anything, βthe kidsβ are uninterested in the old partiesβ¦ and who could blame them.
I don't know the numbers, but I get the impression that political science is a much whiter discipline than sociology - particularly outside 1-2 subfields.
To be clear, I rarely encounter manels in political science. This is mostly in non-academic settings.
Wel lekker normaliseren door wen groot interview te geven.
ββFascisme vind ik een bezwaar, maar de voordelen wegen zwaarder dan de nadelenβ.β π€·ββοΈ
Iβm sure there are a lot of other men who have a lot of (better) advice and experience.
