DLC got me geeked about Requiem all over again oh the hype train truly never stops

Insanity mode with no infinite ammo or bonus weapons/items done! this was really fun to do. Sometimes very challenging, especially the earliest Grace sections. Leon is still pretty much a tank and can power through most of the crazy shit it throws at you. It's very manageable, just take your time!

the unlockable Mortal Edge weapon has an increased parry window, which is reallyyyyy helpful for that boss fight

it's actually rather inspiring in this current landscape of gaming, especially when you take into account the reports of them upping the pay of their employees like every single year. Capcom just straight up seem unstoppable nowadays. And we still have Pragmata AND Onimusha this year!

the RE Engine era in general has just been astronomically successful for them. Every modern RE sells 10+ million copies (used to be a rarity), they saved Street Fighter, Monster Hunter is a sales beast, DMC5 is the best selling DMC and they're still taking chances w/ brand new IPs like Pragmata

I'm still so hopeful for Jill to return someday soon. There's always hope for Requiem DLC, though I suspect if we do get some there are likelier candidates to appear. If anything, Leon getting another starring role after 7/8 focused on a new cast at least tells me they're not finished with the OGs

yesssss what I really loved about it was that, unlike Grace's main area and Leon's main area, this one really felt shared between the two. Like both of their differing styles of gameplay were still highlighted and both were given a solid amount to do. It was a surprisingly lengthy ending area, too!

I'm still digesting everything and going for 100% but I'd say it's my favorite numbered title since OG RE4 and possibly my second favorite of the RE Engine titles, so it ranks pretty highly as of right now
