This JP DeBordeaux? The one claiming that Jeff Hayner didn't accuse city council of violating the law in a comment on the post wherein Jeff Hayner accuses city council of violating city council rules, the city charter, and the open meeting act? www.facebook.com/groups/17885...

No posting without a leading comment that provides proper context. Unless that context is that you hate #a2council, then you don't need a summary.

Sean Johnson I do not agree with your reading of this paper, Stephen. The paper argues that there are more factors at play than just the total number of new housing units, but it does not really wade into YIMBY...

Comment from Sean Johnson:

Dunning-Kruger is a concept. xkcd is a comic. In context, you used it and the other image as memes. Your post was also clearly intended as an insult. The new pretense otherwise is neither believable nor necessary. As I said, I am not asking for you to take these down. I found the exchange quite revealing, and think it should remain up, as is. If you truly did not intend them as an insult, then please re-evaluate your communication style.
You are clearly proud of your history degree from Yale and career as a banker, so congrats, I guess. I am not an economist, but I do have research and policy evaluation experience. I have interacted with plenty of people with similar backgrounds in banking and finance while working on those papers. So while I am not an expert, I know enough to realize that the degree and work experience you describe are not relevant to someone's ability to critically read a research paper and form robust policy opinions from it, one way or the other. Some people form those skills through their education or work, and many don't.

Mr. Johnson has pointed out this inconsistency. We expect to see him in a gulag shortly.

Stephen Lange Ranzini comment in the group. The full text is too long for an alt text, but it begins:

Sean Johnson: Thanks for the mini CV!
As for me, I studied economics and earned a history degree at Yale, however Yale did not offer an economic history degree and that is how I carved my way through the history, economics and political science departments. In the economics department I worked with several Nobel Laureates. I also finished a second degree in East Asian Studies and wrote two theses, both on economics issues, both groundbreaking research that solved long standing problems that no one else had previously solved in those economic history fields.

Comment from Stephen Lange Ranzini:

Sean Johnson: I do appreciate you sharing your background.

To clarify, these are not jokes or memes, they are actually very serious concepts that I use and think about daily, as should everyone, in my opinion. I think that the World would be a better place if everyone more closely followed a Socratic method. I am not referring to you in my comments about myself, which are purely self referential.

Sean Johnson's comment in the group:

Stephen Lange Ranzini I gave you what you asked for, no more no less. I think the jokes you posted are on you, and also a clear violation of the guidelines about memes that this group is supposed to follow. I’d appeal to a moderator, but it isn’t worth the time or energy.
