Check out my groovy new pad!

Fun times ahead!
I believe the one-year mortality rate for falling down the stairs is 1 in 125,000 or so.
I've started calling this the stair bar. If the thing a person is worried about is less likely than dying from stairs, maybe they shouldn't worry about it....
I've ever only seen these in front of speed humps for cars. Confusing!
To be fair, us tech people are the ones that pooched this up. By making sharing files comically difficult on mobile and disabling text selection in native apps, we've trained people that screenshots are the only reliable way to share information.
Ah, makes sense!!
Can it still be.. Hammer.. Time..? π₯Ή
I'm unfamiliar, what is the Financial Sense argument?
A huge shift in my psyche in the last few years has been accepting that evil villains actually exist and we need to organize appropriately.

"We've noticed businesses are putting knives and broken glass all over their stores so we're going to make it illegal for kids to go in to stores."
This episode is suuuuuuuper interesting. Too many good points to enumerate! I think about this a lot for my friends in oil and also for my country as a whole...
... But I also think that every point in this episode needs to be considered for AI transitions too!

I want to make an app with two buttons in it, and when some tidy person turns their nose up at a person in the street, I shove the app at them and have them make a choice:
[Show Compassion and Grace]
[Let them Suffer and Die]
..though I'm worried I would learn things I don't want to about people.

There's a great Motion from @lucymaloney.bsky.social and @seanorr.bsky.social coming to Council this Wednesday, March 11th to improve bike share in the region! (full text: council.vancouver.ca/20260311/doc...)
As card-carrying bike share enthusiasts, we are excited. Here's how to support:

It looks Rayleigh nice!
There was a great 99PI episode on sesame treet recently, very worth a listen!
Sorry to jump in your replies and be a downer π«£
If we could figure out how normies could improve train times to make a buck, I'd feel very differently hahaha. But the problem with all this betting stuff is that destruction is easier than creation, missing is easier than scoring, etc...
Like, they could have just had more output if this was handled humanely (in theory, best case), but they decided that firing people and burning out the rest is actually The Right Move, which tells you how they're gonna feel about 4 day work week or AI taxes for EI, and so on.
There's been several prominent AI boosters that have put out articles recently to the effect that bosses use AI to make you work harder, not easier. There's a whole new kind of burnout people are experiencing because staff get cut and the remainder are expected to fill the gap and more...
On the other hand: incentivizng people to cause train delays to make a buck...

Apparently my typing skills are breaking up in the atmosphere.
I hear it with my kid! Always fun to sudden be part of a happening like this!
Yeah this is the thing. I also prefer standard but I'm not even angry.
Normally I'd be like, "they just didn't realize, right? Right?" but now I'm super jaded and kind of assume they see it as an advertisement to their in-group... π
The best kind of thing π
