When illustrator @kuboartt.bsky.social drops into our Discord to share his work, we get pretty excited. His use of lighting and form, especially as applied to the full, round brown and rippling figures, is pretty evocative.

Dealing with a months-long burnout... So I decided to go back to my roots for a bit and rework a pretty old piece.
Some pieces are doomed to never get done... I've had this WIP since 2020.

Took a bit of a rest to reset my brain and I decided to come back and do some inking practice... which turned into a little bit more than that. Either way, it was nice to get into a bit of a flow state and just figure it out along the way.
While working on my comic book, I also decided to create an entire world map to go along with the setting.

I wanted it to look like an old pulp illustration, something you may have seen as a poster or pulp novel cover somewhere. It was really fun trying to figure that out.
