By far my favorite museum in the bay. Always has something interesting and grounded to share with the public.
Really was. I tend to love most of the exhibits at OMCA.
Also walked through the Good Fire exhibit about indigenous burning practices. Seeing them back to back gave me a lot of thoughts around movement of people on stolen land.
Wrapped up BHM at the Oakland Museum of California seeing Black Spaces: Reclaim and Remain. What a beautiful moment to learn more about the Black community in The Bay Area.

Y’all would never give a Black disabled person this level of grace and protection.
The last thing I’ll say is that Black disabled folks have to mask and be on our fucking best behavior. I don’t think disabled people need to hide in the shadows, but I do think we need to recognize how race plays into how we all have to behave.
Mans dem and BAFTA need to donate some money expeditiously and re-release an apology ASAP.
Infantilization as means to avoid accountability, it’s ableist and frankly tired of white folks not just saying sorry for the harm they cause.
Literally watched a Black woman with ticks talk for an extended amount of time and she didn’t say the N word once.
