Coming back to @bsky.app after being off of social media for a bit. For those following along, I'm spending my days with @automotus.bsky.social doing cool things with curbs.

Okay everyone. I've turned off autocorrect on my MacBook. I don't mind the squiggles. I appreciate the squiggles. But I refuse to let it change things on its own.

OK, this is much funnier than it should've been. One might say disproportionately so. 🤭

A regular expression (pattern matching) that covers versions of text including "have gone another way", "went another direction", "gone another route", etc. The pattern is at the top highlighted in green and some sample text is below that: "Thanks for your interest, we have gone another direction." with "gone another direction" highlighted.

Tried writing a regex to filter job rejection emails (into a folder; I'm not a heathen). Accidentally fell down a rabbit hole.

Fun fact: regexr.com defaults to JavaScript instead of PCRE. Took me forever to notice. However long you think that was… add 5 minutes.

I am arriving at Cmd/Ctrl+C Cmd/Ctrl+V being faster for duplicating a file than right clicking and choosing "make a copy" or "duplicate" because of the OS/Finder wanting to avoid clobbering an existing file.
