A starling and a blue jay, covered in ice, on a spike with a seed cake during a blinding blizzard.
On a blizzardy Valentineβs weekend, a starling and a blue jay landed near a hanging seed cake. They pecked at the cake, but the starling couldnβt get any of the frozen seeds. Then the blue jay hopped over, successfully broke into the cake, and fed the starling. I was astounded.
Needed this. My quiet time is watching the deer materialise from the bush out back and to reflect y on or of nature is a gift
