I'm headed back to the mire of goats! If you missed last year's, everything you heard is true. Plus Varberg is a really nice town. If you're like me and always schedule conference travel with no buffer on either end, this is a good one to add a few days.

Our next confirmed speaker said "whatever you need". People can't just hand me that. Geesh. More to come on what the talk will be but we already know there will be Nerves community workshops and Frank will be in 'em.
Frank is the initial instigator of creating Nerves.

A fun quirk of the Nerves Meetup EU is that I don't know if there is a better or livelier remote Elixir meetup anywhere? I haven't been told of one.
Last few runs have been about 30 people. This might be quieter since we were late to announce. But it is about the most fun I have on Zoom.
Prior Goatmire speaker and upcoming Goatmire workshop host Marc Lainez is going to share his work on putting Nerves on .. pretty much everything. Don't miss this. Also, the social hangouts after are golden. Join the meetup :)

We have discovered and fixed an issue in NervesHub. All people running it should update. Read the CVE and security advisory to understand your exposure.
Please reach out if you have any questions.
The update v2.4.0 also contains a bunch of other good stuff.

Very hard to read bro..
You are gonna have a rough time with us in Malaga. Innocent boy like you :)
Have done this, ish. It was worth having my own system that I did not hate.
Now accountant-wife does it in a system she claims to not hate..
Also. I always tell people that struggle with invoicing.. you are not sending invoices. You are ordering money. It is fun to order things!
Interesting way to get a .. vibe check.

Our first confirmed speaker is a fantastic get. Bryan Hunter, known for his work with Elixir in massive health care systems just happened to be in our neck of the woods and said yes!
We don't know what to expect for the topic yet which is almost more exciting.

btw, if you'd be interested in having your company name on hardware at Goatmire that spot is still available for now. There are also plenty of other fun opportunities. Just contact me :)
One awesome thing during Goatmire were the name badges. Designed and implemented by Gus Workman and funded by Tigris. I did a little write-up on that:

I need to start using a really iffy early 2000s digital camera to make my stuff. But a good mic :P
Yeah. I would not do marketing automation that way. Instabland is my expectation. Though I suppose you could aggressively coach it or maybe you need bland?
Nice to know you try my podcast recommendations though :D
Yeah, way simpler process :)
I've tried both at types as well.
Followed!
Glad to see you both back and sounding happy.
You both are really listenable even unedited :)

Software Social is back!
softwaresocial.dev
For those not familiar it is two women doing SaaS, software and stuff having very worthwhile conversations.
Good to hear you again @mjwhansen.com :)
Is Colleen on here?
I've also built a lot more utilities that are useful but tedious or even not feasible for me to build in terms of focus and attention where I essentially just hit Yes enough and I get a close-enough version of the thing.
Which changes what types of things I take on.
No excuses this time. Harsh

Did I ever share this talk when it came out? I don't recall. "Keeping Secrets in your Opponent's Hands" is about embedded hardware security. Also I think the slides turned out pretty baller

Sam Aaron showing some of that good stuff at TEDx Manchester this weekend. Tau5, Elixir, LiveView. But of course with the magic of music.

Did they run out of internet chairs?
The next conference I'll be enjoying is ElixirConf EU. I'm speaking. I hope Malaga is nice in April. The cheaper tickets should still be available so get your employer to buy you some and send you to hang out with several hundred good friends and peers.
