“How do I look?”

“I love ‘em.” He presses a kiss to the top of her head. “Here, hold the watch while I put this on.”

He likes the first gift—but the second one gets him smiling all goofy-like, eyes melty brown and grin lopsided.

Hol thought for a moment.

“Might have somethin’ for ya, actually.” He duh in his pocket, then dropped a paper clip into her waiting palm.
