My parents were there! It was their first protest. I am really proud to be their son.
When I was 14, my mom and I had a cleaning business where we cleaned a trucking terminal. I did that until I moved to Athens to get my PhD. Spending time cleaning up shit has given me a) appreciation for my current job and b) incredible respect for service work that is all too often disrespected.
