I found this book in one of those snacks/t-shirts/books stores in the Miami airport, and it is so good.

I work at home a lot, in various spots, but today is definitely an inside day. Stay safe and warm out there!
I just finished (and loved) The Librarianist by Patrick Dewitt, and this was one of my favorite lines. Perfect for a New Year's resolution, I think.
If I could choose any friend from the past, it would be Virginia Woolf
My favorite book of the season. I’m sure I’m not alone.
It really stays with you!
I was lucky enough to see Hokusai's The Great Wave in person last weekend. Here are a few things I learned: It is much smaller than I expected (25x37 cm), but also far more beautiful. Hokusai was a pseudonym, one of many. He taught his students, among other things, how to draw an "energetic" person.
Thank you, Doug!
You got it. Congratulations on your first book!!
Same, and thanks!
I don't often read short stories (worried I'll form attachments that end too soon), but I'm so glad I read this one. Slow-moving but totally tension-filled and haunting.
Thanks, Logan!
Thank you! A few of my favorites: @exlarson.bsky.social, @danieljamesbrown.bsky.social, Laura Hillenbrand, David Grann, @drlindseyfitz.bsky.social
The wonderful people at the Theodore Roosevelt Presidential Library (opening 2026!) gave me this beauty last year. It’s a little fragile, so I’m trying to protect it from suffering the same fate as our dog-tortured reindeer and one-legged gingerbread men.
Thank you, Russell!
Hi Lindsey! Yes, would love that!
Thanks!
Thanks so much
Thank you, John. I’m honored.
Hi Dan!
Thanks! I can use all the help I can get with social media
Thank you!
Hi, I just joined BlueSky (first follow was @exlarson.bsky.social) and wanted to introduce myself. I’ve written 4 NYT bestselling books, all history, narrative nonfiction. I love books, libraries, bookstores, other writers, other readers, and my French Bulldog, Bug.
