My garden is inside of a "room" with chicken wire 'walls' and 'ceiling' framed in wood. There are 2 doors. We built it to keep the cats, racoons, possums and squirrels out but it also keeps birds out unless they fit through the chicken wire or get in when the door is open. Pollinators enter easily!
I actually ate some this morning while sitting out there. I like the arugula ... spicy! They ARE TASTY!
Ha! I wondered if anyone would notice that. Meet Pepper's paw... lol. π₯°
Carrot Palooza in the garden today! What's for dinner? π©βπΎπ₯π₯π₯π±
The paths of my garden are this smooth river gravel. Amongst all the plain gray and beige stones are brilliant white quartz. I pick them out like jewels to top-dress my garden pots. Weird? Probably. But it soothes my soul.... π±
Aroma therapy in the garden. Sitting in the sun sniffing some mint and lemon balm leaves crushed up between my fingers... Ahhhhh! π±
The winter veg that remains is bolting and blooming (broccoli, radishes, arugula) and the bees are happy. I know I have to pull it all soon to make way for Spring crops but for now I am enjoying the buzzy party! π π±

I know... me too. β€οΈ
Yeah... mine pretty much poop out once it gets hot. Maybe try putting the seeds out in the Fall. Mine start to grow either the winter rains.
Edible yes... delicious? To me at least... not so much! π
I'm in coastal SoCal. Honestly.. I just stuck a few seeds in the soil a few years back and now I know I will have them forever. Maybe your climate is less hospitable?
Nasturtiums come back from seed each year and are the first real flowers of the year in my garden. π± π§‘
The prettiest cabbage I ever grew! π±
As I recall, we never saw any people... only wild horses and feral cats. π΄ππββ¬
So beautiful there! I once spent 2 nights in a treehouse deep in the valley in '93. Was supposed to be 3 but a hurricane was coming and we were told by locals that the last time a hurricane had hit that side of the island that everyone in the valley was swept away. That was enough for us to hear!
Thank you for this lovely comment! β€οΈπΉ
Today is the 3-year anniversary of my mom's passing. Her favorite rose, Mr. Lincoln had this one big, fragrant bloom today. Thanks, Mom. π±πΉβ€οΈ

Well, we are in Southern California and it has been in the 70's all week. It is what we call 'Fake Spring'. It will get cold again but our cold means daytime temps in the low 60's and night lows in the upper 40's rarely but usually around 55.
He truly is. His name says it all! β€οΈ
