I had to look up what FloCollege was for this one. Pass.

Feel like this needs an emoji of a turtle with a spear through it.
Who?
Great feature, I hope you stick with it. A nice reminder of how fortunately we are to have so many local college basketball options.
Of the local options tonight, I didn't foresee you choosing this one!
Just added to Spotify this week. One of the most important LPs in my life. BATTERY - "Until The End" -- open.spotify.com/album/6kjkpx...
This is disgusting, Defector. A horrible, extremist act entirely unjustifiable, but sickening to frame it this way.
Baseball season.
Release of the Day: SHUTDOWN - "By Your Side" - In dire need of new melodic hardcore, SHUTDOWN delivers the goods. 30 years of catchy NYHC yielda some refinement. These six songs sent my IGNITE/VISION adoration into brain burst. The old guard gets it done. equalvision.bandcamp.com/album/by-you...
To be fair, free tickets wouldn't even get me to do that trek on a weeknight at that time. That's why games are broadcast! Maybe after the Purple Line opens (if humanity still exists).
It's anecdotal, but I feel like there's less marketing or availability of special ticket options for during-break games. I remember taking advantage of Groupons years ago for these kinds of games on a weekend. Good luck getting me to CP from Fairax on a Monday night!
Add some Signals Midwest on there, will fit right in.
At some point this will get a fancy reissue, right? Maybe @numerogroup.bsky.social ?? Supremely underrated late 90s emotional hardcore.
Release of the Day: PARKER'S BURDEN - "Looking Back to Look Forward" - Sharp, powerful melodic skatepunk in the vein of Theologian Records' PENNYWISE-centric roster. The Atlanta based duo has a need for speed, the forbidden beat, and soaring vox. One-trick done really well? You betcha.
Release of the Day: STEVEN NEUFELD - "Punk" (People of Punk Rock) - "Melodicore" wouldn't have fit on the cover art.
All three at home, right? Becoming part of game expectations.
Song of the Day: BAD RELIGION - "The Fast Life" - Originally a b-side to "The New America" that is now on all of the streaming versions of the LP. Total burner of a song. Will I ever hear it played live? Unlikely. www.youtube.com/watch?v=9M77...
Release of the Day: SPARK OF LIFE - "Promises Made. Promises Kept." (Lorelei) Active again after a 20-ish year break, we return to the LP that gained them initial attention. Crunchy, stinging mid-tempo late 90s style post-hardcore. Did Silent Majority have a SoCal doppelganger? You make the call.
