I hope this one gets on there
I hope this one gets on there
Quite so!
The fact that we now have 5 episodes of The Daleks’ Master Plan, which wasn’t sold anywhere and absolutely nothing from Marco Polo which was sold to quite a few different countries just goes to show that anything is possible.
That being said, I do quite hope to see this one someday!
We also now have every episode 1 for a story directed by Douglas Camfield besides for episode 1 of The Invasion.
Marc has seen better days!
I did! Watched 1 & 3 out of excitement. Gonna wait to watch the first three episodes together when the new recoveries are out. Though I did also watch the recons for 4 & 6 because they were on the same disc of the dvd I made. Which I suppose I’ll need to make a new one soon!!
Missing Marc Corey’s chalk outline! Haha!
As a Doctor Who fan of 12 years, I’ve always wanted to witness a missing episode recovery. And now my dream has come true! Thank you for all that you do, it’s truly important work. I hope the goodwill and positivity of this find makes ripples!!!
Bless the Security Kitchen.
Haha! My birthday was only a week ago and I said “today would be a great day to announce a recovery.”
Well it seems like you have a great track record, predict the next one!! :D
DALEKS! *musical sting*
Exciting to say I’ve watched the Loose Canon Recons of The Nightmare Begins and Devil’s Planet for the final time!!
Not to mention how we now have each episode with good quality audio. Considering the Randolph recordings of everything still missing besides the 3 episodes Graham Strong recorded are better quality than what we had. Plus the Randolph recording for Episode 1 was incomplete, but now we have this!!
We can now watch the first hour and 15 minutes of DMP uninterrupted!!! It brings a tear to my eye!! Tears of joy ofc!!!
Been staring at these telesnaps an awful lot tonight after finding out the “white Macra” was actually a model the whole time!
One more week until the 60th birthday of the Security Kitchen!
Interesting to think if those Australian Censor Clips were never found this would be the only frame of that infamous shot that we’d have.
KRONOS!!!
Whenever I watch anything on my Season 2 set it makes me even more excited for the eventual Season 1 set.
Either way, if they are indeed going to digital only broadcast then that leaves the last two channels broadcasting the show over the air to the two remaining PBS stations that still air it, KBTC and Iowa PBS
Hm, I mean it’s possible that they would. My local affiliate had no message just dead air so if there is a message I suppose it must be intentional.
They still do it over the air, they just dropped it for a few months likely to renegotiate it so they can air it and have it stream live as well. My local affiliate dropped RetroTV but I’m still getting listings. They’ve pretty much unified their web stream and tv stream into one.
You know, those two Australian censor guys really took their job for granted. Not only were they able to watch The Daleks’ Master Plan complete* and in motion all in one go back in September ‘66, but they got to witness incredible moments like this.
*= R.I.P The Feast Of Steven we hardly knew ye
Rewatched The Enemy Of The World again and took a peek at the Telesnaps out of curiosity. Kinda funny how the site has these labeled as being earlier on where 2’s acting like Salamander even though he’s dropped the act and Bruce being in shock is actually him weirded out by our goofy trio
Oooh what a lovely picture. These must be properly scanned so us dryfoots don’t arouse the wrath of The Great One!
I’ve started a trend of watching Season 3 episodes on their 60th anniversary starting with Destruction Of Time, and after enjoying The Massacre over the course of 4 weeks it’s time for some moving footage with The Steel Sky!
It’s neat that this was aired on my birthday 36 years before I was born!
Two more weeks until the security kitchen!!
No more Karate???
