It was actually easier to catch all of the quail and then let the rat out, argghh. The hole has been patched and quail are back in now

Spent most of today cleaning up ahead of the garden trail. Interesting things I saw today: absolute shitton of various ladybugs (good and bad), little chomps in some pomegranate leaves by a leafcutter bee (good), an actual rat climbing into the quail pen through a 2cm gap in the mesh (extremely bad)
