The other night I arrived, thanks to LA traffic, too late to NOT park at the lot next to the sports venue. I do it at least once each season. Three years ago: $40. Last: $50. Other night? $65! We live in a world in which its entirely possible that Iran negotiations failed because people involved bet the under.

This is war profiteering and I'm ashamed that so many people I know and like are apparently not ashamed to be in bed with these prediction markets.

I am late to the news that Michael Silverblatt, the host of Book Worm, died. I mean this with all the love in my heart, but I will never forget and never not find funny thinking about how his expertly crafted, thoughtful questions would go on forever. So much so that, in his half hour interview...

Breaking my social media hiatus to share some good news! I’ve just signed a deal with Basic Books for my next book, Impunity, which uncovers the right’s decades-long effort to destroy political accountability and protect their friends in power. I’m so excited for this one!

Learned from my doctor that if you were born in some handful of years in the mid to late seventies, the FDA recommended a course of childhood vaccines that wasn’t optimally effective then switched back. As such, if you’re 50ish, you need to get your antibodies checked. I needed a new vax.

Border Patrol boss Gregory Bovino tossed from Las Vegas bar Former U.S. Border Patrol Commander-at-Large Gregory Bovino was reportedly asked to leave a Las Vegas bar out of safety concerns for the venue’s customers.

I’m just surprised he found someone to let him sit on his shoulders in a trench coat so they’d let him in the bar. lasvegassun.com/news/2026/fe...
