I do not believe the Shamwow guy has better brand recognition than John Carter of Mars.
Tangent y related: It's been like that in the arcades for years. Most of the modern cabinets are running on strip down PCs with Windows os with a layer of copy protection over it. That's why it's relatively easy to emulate them.

Promo poster for a Russian Sci-Fi movie AI-4U "Wired Together" . A human looking cyborg hold is his arms a small child, which in turn is holding a stuffed animal dog. There are two teenagers standing behind the cyborg - boy and a girl. they are all set against pastell background clearly really badly photoshopped in as skin and shadows on each figure dos not really look too consistent to create an illusion of a proper composite.
Amazing things being filmed in Russia. letterboxd.com/film/ai-4u-w...

Grotto of the sun is amazing, the Frequencies I feel meh about, wayyyyyy to shimmery (for me :D)
It ain't that bad, right? :D
Cover of Penda's Fen: Scene by Scene.
‘Astonishing. I enjoyed a deeper working involvement in the making of the film than most authors are granted — but even so, there was so much going on that I didn’t know. Thank you for teaching me’ David Rudkin ‘Indispensable. It left me longing to see the film again and wishing that television today had room for works of such outstanding individual imagination’ Michael Billington
‘A comprehensive, immersive deep dive into the creation of David Rudkin and Alan Clarke’s massively influential and hallucinatory coming-of-age story. Highly recommended!’ Grant Morrison ‘Play for Today was, for many years, the most exciting strand in British television and Penda’s Fen is one of its most remarkable highpoints: visionary, original and under perfect control’ David Hare
‘A welcome revelation of insight, background and new resonances to Clarke’s masterwork’ Jim O'Rourke ***** ‘Surely the definitive statement on Penda’s Fen’ SFX Magazine ‘A first-class read. It is like witnessing a first-class documentary in written form’ Spencer Banks
Praise for our book Penda's Fen: Scene by Scene, @greavesian.bsky.social's definitive exploration of the classic Play for Today from script to screen. Available now from tenacrebooks.co.uk
I mean he's right, he'll be out of there in a year or so.
I really enjoyed The Invocation of Enver Simaku!!! Well worth your time.
Illuminant Object? Falls apart a lil bit by the end but as a first feature movie of that director it's way better than it has any right to be. letterboxd.com/film/illumin...
Hey, just saw this commment. If you want to watch subbed shirome message me (I saw your messages are off, probably for a very good reason, but that means I could not send you a link)

I'm doing 360 new albums in 2026 where you listen to stuff you haven't heard and keep track of the metrics and 2026bhas so far been insane with new music!
A teen looks off frame in terror while ghost face watches her from below.
Nightvision shot of two shinto priests conducting and excorcisim in a living room. There is a glastly elongated shadow slowly stratching towards the ceiling next to them.
A high tier exoecist is squatting outside an apartment at night. He's lit by the camera light and he's holding a severed cat's paw in his leather gloved hand. The subtitle says "demon bomb".
A nightvision shot of a woman sitting in an arm chair. Her head is thrown back, hands grasping the arm rests, her mounth open. There is an gigantic knitting needle like tip slowly emerging from her mouth, about two feet long, slowly rising towards the ceiling.
The Cult, 2013 Koji Shiraishi ghost mockumentary. The Shira touch is obvious form the start - the weirdness, the humor, the characters. Three idols get hired to participarte in an excorcisim TV show, they go into haunted house with a shinto priest and things go downwards from there. Super fun.
Old synth focused ambient gem from 1986. Almost became an ephemera as it was only released on tape - transferred in 2022 and now avaialble on YT. www.youtube.com/watch?v=RyX9...
Ahh yes, as funding dries out for out "tech of the future that everybody should be forced to use" time to find another scheme to prop up our fucked up house of cards. How about we harvest biometric data and then resell it! Brilliant idea, no notes.
The swaying digital static photo with some glitter / lens flare over it is sending me! I guess good stand-in for video footage.
Seats with the cutouts are great! This one looks a bit too comfy, but if you are not planning on spending a lot of time on the bike it can work. I'd suggest looking at Brooks cambium C19 with the cutout. Also shocks / suspension on the bikes are not that great since you have to service them often.
They invented a new, worse version of Shingy! Major downgrade from Digital Prophet to Anthrophic Pholosopher IMHO.
Yess! Are you doing the Reykyavik and classics only or going out a bit further? All north east coast looks like mars, Museum of Sorcery and Witchcraft is amazing, lake Mývatn area is bonkers - birds + hot springs + caves + Dimmuborgir!
Joyeux anniversaire to French composer Éliane Radigue (b.1932) who turns an incredible 94 years of age today! Her work is proof that subtlety can be seismic, and that the smallest shift can change everything. Long live sustained tones, deep attention and Éliane Radigue!
You simply HAVE to use it (our bottom line, survival and investors depend on it!). And once you use it for a bit you ill have to subscribe to use it, it won't be free no more.
One for all the minimalist fans out there - a wonderful live recording of Terry Riley live at Town Hall, New York City - September 25, 1982

The NYC curbside classic including car radiator, plant stand, sink, box fan, oscilloscope and a drying rack all up for grabs! We almost took that oscilloscope home, but it was raining for hours prior.
