We launched our first yesterday, and three more today - for practice and to make sure we can get our data into the global communications networks for forecasters to be able to use **worldwide.**

@nws.noaa.gov Director Ken Graham presented on NOAA’s modeling grand challenge at #AMS2026 this morning. He announced that the NWS is moving to MPAS as its modeling dynamical core, with his #1 moonshot goal being a global, fully coupled 3-km Earth prediction system using MPAS.
That's a wrap for me at #AMS2026 -- here's the work we presented last night at the student poster session: Can we increase predictability of TC-tor events *prior* to landfall via airborne observations? Here's the poster. It was a pleasure to see everyone! Keep in touch!
Biggest take away from #AMS2026 so far: everything happens for a reason. The opportunities, hardships, relationships, etc. Its all for a reason, and that reason is growth.
