promo image (abbreviated cover) for looking at birds: lands between, an unofficial birdwatching x elden ring fancomic by megan brennan & carey pietsch
I'm SO excited that Looking at Birds: Lands Between, my & @meganbrennan.bsky.social's unofficial fancomic about birdwatching in elden ring, is available digitally!
It's an action-comedy about trying to birdwatch in a world where most of the birds want to eat you. megthebrennan.itch.io/eldenbird
it's live right now!! apparently!
Jamaal in the bakery, working the dough. Both his legs are prosthetics. He rolls out the dough with a rolling pin. He closes the oven on some confections, while others sit covered and uncovered on the counter, proofing.. Liam walks towards the back of the bakery, swinging his keys cheerfully. The signs reads, "Knead & Rise" and "Dechanique" (Title page)
Liam walks in through the basement entrance. Jamaal wipes the sweat from his neck with a cloth. The pair greet each other. Liam asks, "All done with the prep work?" to which Jamaal responses, "You betcha! Everything's ready." Liam slips in under his arm. "So... you're saying we have time alone before we open?" Jamaal smirks, making a thoughtful hmm. Liam cuddles up to his chest. Jamal looks down at him fondly. "Guess we do. You have something in mind?" Liam and Jamaal kiss.
Liam and Jamaal kiss harder. Jamaal's cock strains against his pants where Liam is grinding onto him. Liam squeezes his package. They break their kiss, smiling at each other. Liam gets down onto his knees and pulls Jamaal's cock from his pants. He pulls the foreskin with his lips. Jamaal flushes, watching Liam suck his dick, sighing, "Oh damn.. Liam..."
Another from the archive!
Knead & Rise (2015)
Liam was hoping to get some quality fun time with his boyfriend before the bakery opened for business, but an early coworker and a mutually beneficial arrangement turn a party of two into a pre-work romp for three. (1/3)

YAYY HURRAYY I'm so glad
Hi everyone! I’m coming back to the ole’ Blsky to ask a huge favor.
Last month, we almost lost our beloved little guy Fritz to a sudden onset of FIP, which is a rare and deadly cat disease. We’re running a GFM to help pay for his ongoing care and treatment!

Legolas in a party hat shooting a glass of chmpagne and saying "happy new year, sluts"
luckily that importing service that qobuz uses/recommends makes things insanely easy to fiddle with
yeah I've similarly found apple's service to be Fine for what I need it for, plus they only skipped 1 or 2 of my anime songs, but the rub over there is I have to update to ios 26 to get access to playlist folders outside of a desktop environment (lmao)
I still have my arenanet account from years and years ago but I might buck nostalgia and do the same... I wanna see how it plays on my deck...
I think it's worth checking out if you can deal with some clunkiness on their app (I ultimately decided it wasn't for me)
anything to get off of spotify imo
They just re-launched the original Guild Wars today. Also a free update for anyone with the original game, and they've made the expansions just a free part of the package.
Still no other game like it. Not really an MMO, but rather a linear, mission-based action-RPG deckbuilder, with optional bots.
oh that's today!!!
not that I need another project but I've also considered trying to go the "buy an old ipod off ebay and learn how to refurbish it" route but we'll see. that might be a bridge too far for my little pea brain right now
okay the other downside of qobuz versus apple is it doesn't cover nearly the same number of tracks in my massive anime openings/endings playlist (which is a pretty good litmus test, tbh---250+ songs)
I transferred to apple music a long while back but I'll be honest I haven't used it much... it's mostly my go-to for "hey I want to listen to [this specific album]"
re: lrp, I signed up for a qobuz trial and the library is very robust/easy to transfer from literally any other service
a couple of downsides, though: no ability to create playlist folders, and no way to add an image as your playlist cover art (that second one might be a dealbreaker)
Spotify is garbage on every count: Its treatment of artists, its ICE advertising, the CEO's investment in military AI, its leading role in the commodification and AI slopification of music, its terrible audio quality—you name it.
So I quit, and put together a complete guide to getting off Spotify:
I lied, one last thing: their mobile app is really nice
oh one more thing, you can search for an artist or a band you like and see what episodes they appear on
I've found that to be a great way of finding shows that jive with the mood I'm going for! it's a great way to broaden your horizons!
okay rant over thank you
And if you pay them a little bit of money every month like I do, you get live tracklists for the currently playing shows as well as tracklist timestamps on archives from 2023 onward (among other things)
You can also save tracks to look into later!
As someone who loves finding new music, NTS has really been a godsend this year. I VASTLY prefer having that music curated by human beings with taste
NTS has two "stations" on at any given time, refreshing every 1-2 hours depending on length, and their backlog is robust, tagged, and searchable
And finally, rounding out this thread with none other than Elijah Wood's guest spot from back in October: www.nts.live/shows/dont-a...
The guy's got good taste!
I have so many other saved shows and episodes but it'd make this into a blog post instead of a thread lol
For electronic/dance, some one-offs:
This B2B with Foreigner and Nativesun is ADHD music. Trust me. www.nts.live/shows/foreig...
I like breakbeat/jungle, and I like Tim Reaper's jungle www.nts.live/shows/tim-re...
Do you love stupid sample soundboards? I do :) www.nts.live/shows/easter...
The "NTS Guide to..." series is terrific and there is SO MUCH to dive into. Here are some faves:
