I have absolutely no idea what Trump is trying to accomplish in Iran, or how he plans to accomplish it, and the fun thing is that neither does he!
That's why the constitution does not give the President the authority to launch wars without Congressional approval.
Trump stands dressed in a commodore uniform with nonsensical medals all over his chest under a “Mission Accomplushed banner. One Trump speech medL reads: “Operation Epstein Distraction Has Begun!” A second speech bubble reads: “All Epstein News Has Been Obliterated”.
The U.S. Senate must be clear: no war with Iran.

In competitive authoritarianism (US right now) there's often a "loyal opposition" that's essential to the regime. They are so wedded to "decorum," they go along with rites & rituals that help regime prop up veneer of normalcy, undermining clear view of regimes actions & aims.

What’s astounding to me is I’ve never seen Schumer seek so much media as in the last couple of days. So it’s not that he doesn’t know how to get out there, he’s just not interested when it’s about fighting for you. When it’s about defending his own ass he sure knows how to grab the mic.
