**Double the number of unemployed now experience consistent poverty in Ireland.**
New figures released today show that in 1 in 5 unemployed people live in consistent poverty in 2024, which is 4 times higher than the general population. More figures here 📝

🧮 On 10th February, 2025, the Central Statistics Office (CSO) released the Live Register figures for January 2025. There were 165,400 people on the Live Register, a decrease of 11,900 people from the same month last year.

📢According to the latest Monthly Unemployment figures, 116,200 people were unemployed in January 2025, a decrease of 4% on January 2024. The Monthly Unemployment Rate (MUR) was 4%, 0.5 percentage points lower than a year ago.
