Thatβs brilliant Rob!!
Makes me very happy too!
Sure sign that summer is around the corner Mary!
The house martins have arrived back to #Waterford and are swooping around and repairing their nests! (This pic from last year) Also nesting under the eaves are starlings, bats and a great tit. Yes, I did a happy dance!
Exactly!
Yes. π€πΌπ€πΌπ€πΌ
Seems to be alone. Mama goes after about 6 weeks. Apparently 75% of them donβt survive.
You are welcome David! πΏ
The leveret (baby Irish Hare) is thriving in the wild garden. She is often huddled up against the house so that we can observe her every move. Note the huge back feet! When fully grown she will be able to run like the wind! #BanHareCoursing #IrishHare

Thanks Sarah. πΈ
Thanks Patti! πΈ
Magnolia walk in the rain. πΈ
Oh yes I hope they survive!! πΏπ€πΌ
I think we still get them because we have no dogs or cats? Every year I wonder will they survive. So far so good. Touch and go isnβt it? π Hope all is well Roisin. ππΏ
Thank you! πΏ
Oh so beautiful Sarah!
Love that! Havenβt heard Bunty mentioned for a very long time!
Gorgeous creatures.
Omg tis mad alright. π€―
This is a very young leveret, the offspring of an Irish Hare. They don't live in burrows like rabbits but in the undergrowth, in this case my own wild garden. 75% of them don't survive this unusual upbringing in which the young are left to fend for themselves after about 6 weeks.
Arenβt they beautiful! πΏ
πΏ always!
Arenβt they very shy!
A beautiful Jay came to visit and for a while took my mind off the sorry state of the world.
The pheasants here are as tame as farmyard chickens!
Great idea!
