Was great to take part in this and I agree with many of the other contributors.
If all scooters on our roads were compliant with regulations, a huge amount of the existing problems would surely decrease. Speed is generally central to accidents.

Mandatory helmets and high viz is a proven remedy to reduce the number of people cycling. It effectively kills off things like Dublin Bikes.

This is really relevant when discussing depression. It's not just prolonged sadness or irritation even though that can be a big part of it. Anhedonia/loss of "positive affect" is also very significant. (For researchers & clinicians, Michelle Craske's work on this is worth keeping an eye on)

It's disappointing to see the GAA protect its sponsors ahead of its members, but not surprising:

It's not at AFL levels of shamelessness, but we should interrogate GAA sponsorship more

I never want to hear that young people don't vote after this election, repeal, and marriage equality. For the referendums people spent thousands of euro to get home to vote and that still hasn't been reformed + they are totally underrepresented in every other election #aras25 #áras25
Also consistent with youth vote discourse. If young people don't vote, it's seen as their fault. But if conservative voters don't vote/spoil, it's seen as a system failure.

For all the talk of the spoil the vote campaign as a conservative coalition, it's worth noting the Burkes released several videos to encourage people to vote for Humphreys, and that they heavily criticised Ganley and Steen. They weren't as unified as the left were for Connolly #aras25 #áras25
