I think having a mix makes sense depending on the situation. Having both puzzle style obstacles and more freeform obstacles probs leads to the player feeling a true level of expression.
But that also results in little long term risk or problem solving so ๐คท
when your girl sees me
funny little guy :D
there are bones of good encounters (especially the first warehouse in raccoon city) but the enemy weapons feel hella overtuned. insane amount of i-frames during the animation AND you can get multiple guys at once?
gnarly stuff
Genuinely sucks that Capcom is doing this.
There are so few games getting dubbed nowadays it feels tho. Real awkward stuff.
Chainsawman Part 2 ending now off all times is pretty based
Fujimoto can finally start writing a good Manga now instead ๐

Yoshi used to roleplay as a Korean girl on Tumblr that could barely speak English
The he got cast in Community and the rest is history
To give a little bit of credit, he at least said retro fitting RPG elements don't move the genre forward.
He also did say the genre hasn't gotten better since the 90s which might be true but that came off as more dismissive than anything? He hasn't even played Spikeout!
Bro I have zero idea what the video was even saying. He didn't even potentially offer a design analysis as to what the issue is?
He didn't say anything!
Funny part is that the prequel game is called Brave Nine hahaha
Capcom designing Resident Evil around fuzzy enemy states is probably the biggest indicator of moving away from arcade design. Genuinely magical stuff on the first playthrough but I forsee it become aggressively annoying how random the systems feel on replay.
Second Wind made a video about how Beat em Ups are in arrested development and his core reasoning is the graphics...? Like the core core complaint is that Streets of Rage 4 pulls too much from the old games?
What???
My RTX 5080 exploded yesterday.
Hoppers was cute :D
Entirely domestic game development with little external investment, which resulted in management issues?
Video games could be back. Now all we need is to stop making games for PCs.
Nintendo grift content really was the wave
They making movies for types of people you can't even comprehend
same youtubers aren't even making videos on the subject hahaha
Asha Sharma, with dollar signs in her eyes
yea seems like it
if DQB2 got a bespoke version, then a lot of those issues would be ironed out. a lot of the early demos at private events for Switch 2 were all about I/O moreso than raw horsepower, so this feels like an extension of that.
game stores every object
so like, if you have a stack of not picked up material, it will never ever despawn. so that seems like something that would cause the switch 1 to buckle.
how this creature be swinging
take this.
they should give me all the good deals and all the bad deals to dustin from laststandmedia
Seems like this foreign investment thing isn't going well for Japanese based devs.
One guy got the memo at least
