nigel farage tweet: The Bank of England is replacing Winston Churchill with a picture of a beaver on our bank notes. This is the definition of woke.
i, for one, am delighted that we finally have a definition of βwokeβ

Addressing the allegations:
Yes it's true. I betrayed the Majority Report by amplifying a fake news account that portrayed Ben Shapiro's eyebrows as comically large when they are in fact comically medium.
My sincere apologies to Sam Emma Matt and the rest of the team.

I think one of the annoying things about writers using Captain Atom as a government stooge and villain is that Major Force exists.
He's right there. He's the evil Captain Atom. Use him.
Even as a cynical scholar of rape culture, I'm shocked that this isn't the headline story on domestic politics everywhere right now. It's just an unfathomable abuse of power, in clear violation of the law.

Happy Lobo Day to those who celebrate!
(Omega Men #3, featuring Lobo's first appearance, on sale date: March 10, 1983)
A lot of great artists at the Big 2, especially at DC right now, but only ONE Javier Rodriguez.
Ben Shapiro has new eyebrows
Holy shit, Ben Shapiro is Grouchomaxxing.
anyways.. look at this tweet
Yeah. Think it's 5 issues
This tweet from Alex Hirsch will always be evergreen.
Disney and Pixar are complete fucking cowards.
... There is no audio system loud enough to thunder the words "WE FUCKING TOLD YOU SO" across the heavens.
Hulk Smash Everything #3 Cover A by Adam Kubert
If you haven't been reading this I highly recommend it. It's been a LOT of fun and all of North's nerdiness from his Fantastic Four run is on full display here. If you liked then then you'll love this
"HULK SMASH STUPID HAT"
End of Life #1 Cover A by Gerald Parel
Ngl I wasn't really feeling the humour of this but as it went I did find myself being engaged with the lead and wanting to know more. Will pick up the next few issues to see where it goes but wouldn't be surprised if I don't keep up with this like the other Vertigo books I've read
The Peril of the Brutal Dark: An Ezra Cain Mystery #1 Cover A by Jacob Philips
Out of all the new Vertigo books this might've been my most anticipated and it delivered. Condon really lets Phillips set the tone and when we get to our lead we immediately like him. All the makings of a fun hard boiled noir mystery are set up here and I'm looking forward to see how it develops
Batman vol 4 #7 Cover A by Jorge Jiminez
Matt Fraction and Jorge Jimenez are absolutely killing it on this book rn. I am not immune to splash page gimmicks so the 4 page fold out absolutely got me, and the final page reveal had me grinning so hard I can't wait to see how it's followed up. Feel this will become an all time Batman run
Absolute Flash #12 Cover A by Nick Robles
I'll keep up with every Absolute book regardless but this book has been disappointing, especially since I like the start a lot. I don't know why a book that has much smaller arcs than the rest of the line feels this slow. Feel we haven't progress the first arc at all. Hopefully the next arc picks up
Absolute Batman #17 Cover A by Nick Dragotta
I thought this was a great issue. All the seeds Snyder has planted are starting to bloom and we're seeing how it's affecting Bruce with some nice melodrama. I was also worried a certain character wasn't doing enough so I was happy to see some of the development of their plot. Good stuff
DC K.O. Cover A by Javier Hernandez
Why are all DC events like this?
I was enjoying this during the first 3 issues and then it devolved into a self-masturbatory mess. Did we really need a meta reason behind DC's upcoming slate of comics? And I'm usually try not to judge events this way but it did all feel very pointless by the end
but the manifesto aspect doesn't give us much more insight than what we already knew and the meta commentary didn't feel any more transformative than stuff like Roxxon Presents: Thor so neither side felt fleshed out
Ultimates #21 Cover A by Dike Ruan
This is probably my first real "hot take" for The Ultimates but I didn't like this issue. Felt Camp was in two minds, wanting to do a manifesto style documentation of events and a meta commentary on the placidness of modern superhero fiction. I could see how these things could play off each other...
That's right, Sags. Keep licking that boot.
