This sinus bug may finally be leaving just in time for me to meet with my supervisor (virtually) later today about my dissertation's last chapter's edits. Hoping I can spend the weekend actually relaxing but that depends on what she says.

Use of scrapbooking as a visual and mechanical way to tell a story about reflection and friendship is a great example of how game play can both reveal and embody the game's story. And the story itself feels authentic to real moments in life, things that deserve more of our attention and time.

I'll be writing up a formal review later today/tomorrow now that I'm feeling better, but I spent 4 hours on this game because I was so wrapped up in the scrapbook gameplay. I love stories that show common experiences in real, heartfelt ways without downplaying or dramatizing them.

I absolutely loved playing this. Disclaimer: I received a free key, but was excited to play this game regardless and my views aren't impacted by anything but my experience.

Playing the game on Tuesday made me call my longest friend to tell her how much I love and appreciate her.

Knitting for healing, one stitch at a time A Kenyan woman who survived breast cancer is knitting prostheses and training others to make them in a country where silicone ones are expensive.

Mary Mwangi "now makes knitted prostheses for other breast cancer survivors in Kenya who who have had an entire breast removed, known as a mastectomy, without the reconstructive surgery common in higher-income countries."

I didn't realize this until different therapists observed how self-aware I am. But a large part of why I'm in philosophy is because a high school philosophy class was the first place I could openly and continuously question things.
