I think we're the same age, and as my nanna lived in Wythenshaw and I spent a lot of time with her, I knew it all really well.

The Golden Garter!
I had my 1st slush puppy in Civic centre
BBC Question Time is coming from Wythenshawe Forum (or "Civic") as we all called it
My 83 year old parents still live a mile or so away and my mum just told me they have got two tickets
I will have to tune in to see if they ask a question
(with my dad, it would be Royals-bashing)
On a walk around #Conwy yesterday, I spotted something I hadn't noticed before. This magnificent #Gothic railway arch, built in 1840, through the #Medieval walls. It even continues the castellated parapet! Zoom in, and you can see where bits were chipped away as trains got bigger! #photograph #photo
Ancient and Modern....
For once old and new work in harmony; contemporary sculpture frames the view of the Berkeley chapel from the south aisle and the wonderful 4-light Decorated period window beyond #HolyTrinityBristol for #WindowsOnWednesday
Yorks Valley, painting by John Ridgewell (1937-2004). Hebden Bridge.
A few more photos from yesterday's walk, these of The Dell in Port Sunlight.
I suspect despicable racist attacks will continue to rise
on the streets, transport, schools & hospitals,
triggered by Reform, Restore & the far right
anti-migrant, anti-non-white ranting
with Labour & Tory support

What another gorgeous selection, thank you. So glad you have the sun finally! Ive always thought it would be lovely to live in one of thos Port Sunlight houses.
Today's walk in the sunshine took me through Rock Park, Shorefields, Port Sunlight, and finally down the old Levers railway footpath, finishing at Bromborough retail park

seemingly fossilised into the adjoining building

I still think about this a lot.

Interesting niche of crocketed inflexed arches with intricate foliate finials at their intersections framing a cusped irregular hexagon. The niche bears the effigy of cleric. A reminder that churches were once colourful places
Disgusting the way they treated that lad. Also, did they not discuss with each other, backroom staff etc, what studs would be appropriate? Beggars belief

Tremendous.

Please just believe us when we promise to save you loads of money in government. Whatever you do, donβt look at what we have actually done in practice with the local authorities we run, which is increase taxes, cut services and lose 1 in every 10 councillors.
Joey Barton having a horrific day, absolutely lovely stuff. A horror of a human being who should be locked away from society.
Joey Barton really is the c**ts ***t. He is a complete wank stain. He offers nothing in this world. From stubbing cigars out in eyes, thuggery or racist & homophobic bilge, his life from early on has been one of oxygen thieving. A maggot of a man who only gets brave with those he knows he'll beat.
Scrapping jury trials is an affront to the very foundations of our democracy.
From the moment this government was elected, it has come after the civil liberties we all hold dear.
This is yet another outrageous assault on our fundamental freedoms. I will be voting against it.
We've had mist, fog and murk for about 5 days, and it gets you down. Claustrophobic. Hope you get a relief from the gloom later
There is only one thing greater than the majesty of this architecture and that's the patience Mouse demonstrated waiting for a shot with no people in. Three hours 22 minutes.

Here's one of my more recent paintings: 'She Was Always Asleep At School', oil on canvas panel, 40x50cm framed. A painting inspired by a girl in primary school who was always asleep due to unknown home troubles. Elements homage Dorothea Tanning.

We had salmon pink and blue streaks, and now there's sun! I can see the hills that have been invisible for days!
Lovely early Spring pics.
Birkenhead! π
42 fires in listed or significant buildings. That really is a lot.
