The one I found in a little town had been converted into an emergency booth with a defibulator.

If anyone can find this documentary, my niece lived it. She was the district librarian when this was happening. She had to lobby to keep books on the shelves, agree to rate books to allow parents the choice to opt out. She finally made the change to another school district for her own well-being.

Sadly, because of the demise of the pay phone. Many of the red boxes are being removed in Great Britain. Thankfully, some towns are converting to lending libraries or other uses.

I don’t know how many acres he used for the ballfield but I’m thinking that with everything they had prior to the field they were just breaking even each year. By reducing the amount of acreage that he’s able to plant she’s guessing they’ll probably end up in the red.
