What if we had a shootout and no one scored?

I got into an argument with someone I otherwise respect on this topic and the claim makes no sense. Southern realignment was mostly done well before the job losses from NAFTA (and Chinaβs entry into the WTO had greater effects).
Got home in 30 minutes.
Eat shit, Big Ten Getafe.
It turns out that fascists arenβt good at planning coherent air campaigns.
And unfortunately for my tribe, Greenblatt and Stephen Miller look the same.

So if the Iranians hit one of our ships and then machine gun the survivors in the water or in lifeboats, Pete would be fine with that because this is a "no quarter" war, right? I'd love to see someone in the press corps ask that question.
Do you ever feel like we are living through a timeline where the George Wallace-Curtis LeMay ticket from 1968 has been put in power in 2026?
And naturally, there were commercial motives in play as Scottish hoteliers, tired of βexcessive Italianisation,β got rid of competitors by pushing them off to the Isle of Man.
In that case, people were interred even though they were in Britain in the first place because they were implacably opposed to the Nazi regime. The same would be true in the US if this ham-fisted government started sweeping up or surveilling people with Persian last names.
This morning, I got to the chapter of @alanallport.bsky.social's Britain at Bay where, in the aftermath of the Fall of France, the British interned thousands of ethnic Germans and Italians because of fear of sleeper cells. Seems timely.
Meanwhile, in the other place:
He won this game for us. Lansdale was awful and Mo gave us massive energy when the game was in doubt.
As is this. African history is full of great female figures and Kahina was a Berber badass.

My favorite teacher/debate coach took me and a couple friends to see Warren Zevon live in Atlanta a couple times during that time period and I still talk about those shows. Getting good music recommendations never goes out of style.
It made me wish that I had been to that same venue in 1995 for this show.

Thanks to you, I went to see Carter Faith at Smithβs Olde Bar in Atlanta a couple weeks ago and it was fucking fantastic. Co-sign on live music.
As I read the Complaint, I kept thinking about @stevengodfrey.bsky.social's merit badge description of people who want to curry favor with the NCAA and I decided that Warde is an Eagle Scout in that department.
Yeah, he's very motivated to comply with pretend NCAA law and unmotivated to comply with very real state and federal law.
Because they are more concerned about the NCAA and the Big Ten than their own players and coaches.
Think about how athletic departments figured out how to spend all of their revenue in the pre-NIL era even at a time when they did not have to pay what should have been their biggest expense (wages to players).
There are plenty of professors on this site who can explain this better but my understanding is that there is a massive layer of highly compensated bureaucrats who drive up expenses, paired with constant spending on facilities.
Oh, I very much want to associate Warde with one of the worst college towns on the planet.
They're all objectionable. A perfect fit for one another.
