Something that is not commonly seen. Something that provokes a question. A beautiful moth, great crested newt, a bat?

#FirstBirdOfMyDay Pretty much the same every day! A pair of Jackdaws on the nut feeder, working as a team. One on the nuts chucking them down to his partner below!
Watched Question Time @bbcnewsi.bsky.social last night because you were on the panel. Thankyou for answering the questions with your usual factual, intelligent and reasoned analysis. The studio audience certainly seemed to agree with this, judging by the applause!
Brilliant! Heartwarming to see and hear!
Hopefully @heidialexander.bsky.social ?
Ahhh!
At least there out there #teammoth ! However, disappointingly low numbers last night in my N.Wilts garden, probably because temps dropped due to sparce cloud cover. Just a Hebrew Character and Common Quaker saved the day! No pics - you know what they look like! π
Channel 4βs Dirty Business is a clarion call to nationalise the water industry

Frog in my garden pond tonight!
"Just before the stars left the sky", beautiful!
A Robin is perched on a weathered wooden surface, its bright orange-red breast puffed up and beak wide open in full song. The blurred background creates a soft gradient of earthy tones, making the Robin stand out. With its legs firmly planted and feathers fluffed, it looks as if itβs passionately delivering an important message to the world.
"Everybody - wake up! It's the #BigGardenBirdwatch!"
Will you be taking part today? ππ³
That was a good spot James!
#teammoth Just the one moth on Saturday night but appropriately apt for Christmas - a Chestnut!
A Whooper Swan looks back over its folded wings at the camera.
Sadly, we have seen a big increase in avian flu cases in the UK - particularly in waterfowl
Whilst the risk to the public remains assessed as very low, Government advice is not to touch any visibly sick or dead birds, and to keep pets away

48 hours ago a similar thing happened to me. A damp night and in the glow of the security light, on our decking, a frog. Happy to know they're out there and hopping she keeps safe until next spring.
Perfect! So well measured. The PNG's overseas correspondent's analysis is spot on.
#teammoth Trap in my N.Wilts garden last night attracted Sprawler, Chestnut, RG Carpet, Feathered Thorn and December Moth.
Coal Tit on the feeder! I've not seen one for a while, glad to have them back! #FirstBirdOfMyDay
Beautiful!
Beautiful!
That's a great photo. I'd be very happy with that!
Obs says Small!? π€
#teammoth Another couple of new ones in my N.Wilts garden from the other night. Brown-spot Pinion and a Pink-barred sallow. Also a nice Red-green Carpet. A night of colour and double barrelled names!
#teammoth Very quiet last night, only 4 species, but a couple where new ones for me! Tawny Pinion, which I found whilst setting up the light trap!! And a Black Rustic, a very smart looking moth.
Brilliant James!
