ah maybe you need a brush that works to apply solid colors, I also use a blending brush to blend sometimes. I'll link some stuff I use for you

is there a particular way of rendering you're trying to replicate? I've found the main diff in rendering b/n CSP and Photoshop is PS has a lot faster/well mixed brush calculations. But I've found using a textured airbrush with lasso in CSP is pretty good
