I think Kinebuchi's artwork did tremendous work in defining what the gizmos and gadgets of the Pokemon world look like.
I like how he used Weedle as the victim for some cards, because it's comprised of primary shapes and easy to construct in 3D.
And he rose to the challenge of representing the abstract "energy" concept admirably

Emet stares up at them, blushing profusely, his hand attempting to hide it. Azem purrs his name, "Hades..." Scene 7: Azem has gotten their hair snagged by a tree branch. They panic and wave their arms wildly, trying to get free, crying out "HADES!!!" in a plea for help. Orange lights weave through the scenes, each memory glowing with a pleasant warmth. From the bottom of the page, embers begin to rise.
