Leanne (pictured right) is our Parkinson’s Disease Nurse & works closely with Tej (pictured left), our Consultant Geriatrician, in running our Parkinson’s service, where they see patients from across the East Grinstead & Crawley areas in their joint clinic. Leanne also visits housebound patients.
Approximately 153,000 people are living with #ParkinsonsDisease in the UK; the fastest growing neurological condition in the world.
As it’s #WorldParkinsonsDay today, we wanted to say thank you to Leanne, Tej and our wider rehabilitation team for the important support they provide to patients.
We were delighted to be crowned the winners of the ‘Most Effective Contribution to Clinical Redesign Award’ for our collaboration with @feedbackmedical.bsky.social at the recent HSJ Partnership Awards! 🏆

Despite this being a traditional sign of medicine, it caused quite a stir when first unveiled & some local people were concerned that the serpent would bring bad luck to the hospital - fortunately, the serpent remained to this day!
Our serpent has sat proudly atop the Jubilee Building for the last 89 years & is a local landmark. It is wrapped around a staff, symbolising Aesculapius (Greek god of medicine).
We would like to wish our colleagues, volunteers, patients and friends a happy #ChineseNewYear!

Most importantly, it has been shaped and co-produced with over 3,000 patients, volunteers, staff, health and care partners and a wide variety of stakeholders across Kent, Surrey, Sussex and beyond. So thank you to everyone who attended one of our workshops, sessions or completed our online survey.
QVH Strategy 2025-2030 has been developed looking at national and local policy including the health and care system strategies across Kent, Medway, Surrey and Sussex. It is also driven by extensive data which has informed our focus for the future.
