The debates about the new nominees to the RnRHOF is a great opportunity to remind everyone that it was created by Ahmet Ertegun as a monument to himself, nothing more. Any argument about who belongs and who doesn’t is folly when it was never more than a self-aggrandizing wank fest to begin with.

PROJECT 2029 • Eliminate Citizens United. Day 1. • Reinstate Roe v. Wade • Flat tax. Everyone pays 25% -- eliminate complicated tax laws. • POTUS, SCOTUS & Congress term limits not to exceed 8 years. • Eliminate for-profit healthcare. Medicare for all. • Double minimum wage • Election Day: federal holiday. Increase voter participation aka democracy. • Free college for every student who chooses to attend • Ban assault weapons • Reinstate USAID • Reinstate a president's compliance with the law (no immunity) • Federal legalization of marijuana - tax for schools • Fund daycare with meals - 100% free for parents • First-time home buyers tax break. Every American can afford a home. • Tax corporations for emissions. Major penalties for oil companies. • Break up the banks + corporate monopolies. Create free trade. • Put Trump and Musk in jail (if either are still alive in 2029)

I resent that libraries have very limited “copies” of ebooks available to rent (via Libby). Making us wait because why? Greed says what?
It’s been one of the roughest weeks of my life, but I soldier on for my wife and my daughter. I must show them how to thrive despite the government instead of with the government. And also to return to the moral compasses of Stoicism and compassionate critical thinking. Self-care means all-care.
