In December we see a significant increase in the numbers of people accessing our Suicide Crisis Centre. Across the UK, there will be many more people struggling with suicidal thoughts. Someone you stand next to in a supermarket queue or sit next to on a bus may be having suicidal thoughts. Notice people if you can. Be kind. Be there for someone if you are needed. Text reads "As our clients recover, they share with us their hopes for the future. What they say most often is that they want to help other people: βI just want to help as many people as I can.β Having experienced such acute emotional pain and suffering themselves, their greatest wish is to alleviate other peopleβs suffering The people we support are such kind, caring, empathic individuals. We witness the very best of human nature." The charity's website is below the text: suicidecrisis.co.uk

An image of a sunset with the words "You are irreplaceable. If you have lost sight of what makes you precious and unique and needed, then please know that other people see it still. You shine a light in the world that no one else can." The website suicidecrisis.co.uk is written below the quote.
The devastating impact of stalking - and why so many victims stay silent.
The article explains about a male victim of stalking who we've recently supported, and how his stalker was convicted. But getting a conviction is rare, and far too many victims are failed

Although some people welcome the arrival of hot sunny weather, we know that other people really struggle - and intense heat has a really detrimental impact on their mental health.
Please do check on your friends and family. Texts, messages, phone and visits can all really help.
We're incredibly grateful to our volunteer drivers for the lifesaving difference they make. They're highly skilled, dedicated individuals, capable of driving in the most adverse weather conditions. They've ensured that we reach people in suicidal crisis, including in situations of immediate risk.
Text against a background image of rainbow light emerging in the darkness. Text reads: As well as providing a Suicide Crisis Centre that people visit, we have supported people in crisis in many different locations, especially when they are at immediate risk. Whether it has been a location in the countryside or a city centre location, our team has travelled there. We have needed to be wherever the person's crisis occurs.
It wasn't enough to only provide a Suicide Crisis Centre that people can visit. It became clear that we needed to be wherever the person's crisis occurred.

NSUN stands in solidarity with all who are affected by recent news regarding reforms to the welfare system.
We are ready to oppose these changes, and are preparing for the launch of the full Green Paper, expected later this month (1/2).
Kindness has been voted Children's Word of the Year by children in the UK.
We are so pleased.
We know that kindness can be lifesaving to someone who is struggling or in crisis.
Some of the individuals we support can't get to our Suicide Crisis Centre. So we will be going out to see them in their homes and in many other locations. We will be here throughout the coming days.
Thank you so much, Daniel. Really glad to be connected with you on here. Hope we can work together again soon.
We have recommenced our research by attending inquests.
We can now attend inquests anywhere in the UK.
We are focused particularly on what needs to be done to prevent the loss of future lives. The evidence we have gained so far is powerful.
Thank you so much NipperMaddog π
Thank you so much, Rick B
Far more people are quietly suffering than the festive media images portray. Many people's smiles hide their silent struggle. This is an acutely painful time of year for many people. Some people may be particularly at risk at this time. We are here all through the coming days.
