A terrible performance from #Barca but that last minute goal may just have swung the tie back in their favour.

Spot on this. π
Good stuff Ell. I never wanted it because I never thought it would solve accuracy issues unlike goal line tech which I do favour. The red card last night a great example. It's just transferring one persons opinion to anothers. Same with penalties.
It will be VAR that destroys crowds at games.
Absolutely. Drives me mad. Basically influencing the referee to send them off before they have basically arrived at the screen
Indeed. I struggle to watch full games these days (Everton excepted) because of all the stops/time wasting/ VAR referrals etc...will enable tv companies to have breaks in the near future.
Another day and another game ruined by the worst invention in football. Virtually all football fans hate VAR and yet there is only going to be more of it in the future so who is it really for?
Ahh that's so sad.
He was magnificent. Especially considering he had to play number 8 for Utd as well at the same time. Up there with Gerrard for playing/refereeing the game at the same time.
I agree but he clearly thinks Keane as a CB is better than Mykolenko as a LB. When it's put like that, I kinda see.
Fair do's. Think at the moment there are arguments for all routes. I do think he needs a few big wins before the end of the season to get an extension tbh.
Yeah hope you were right but I was never confident because of the points dropped at home to teams we should be doing better against. Think it was that week we lost in the cup when I kinda thought it was done for us..
Would you give him a new contract? I've just posted that they have to make a decision one way or other and there are arguments either way on that. I'm not a fan of leaving managers in charge when everyone knows they are leaving in a few months..
As you say we are not going down but it's also why I never thought we could get Europe. The away results will end sooner rather than later and normally you depend on your home form and we have lost/drawn so many of our easier games at home that realistically I think will mean we will be about 12th
Yeah exactly which of course means that's exactly what we will do haha
Everton will have to make a decision iro Moyes in the summer. Arguments either way in terms of getting rid or extending but the real danger for me is doing nothing and leaving a manager in place who everyone knows is going at the end of that season.
I think it's quite a big decision for the summer. I don't really see any prospect of him getting another contract and I don't like it when players know a manager is leaving. So could be a bit of an odd one next season.
I'm not sure. He knows he has maximum of 16 months and if this season tails off (which I think is quite likely) it may just be 4 or 5
Aye fair point. Yeah me too re Armstrong. I think he's got loads of potential but don't really get playing him wide. Id play him CM,.let's see if he can do it there. No real pressure for rest of the season.
I think we have missed him full stop but KDH defo misses him. Quite a few times when KDH had the ball in space and it would have gone wide to Grealish but tonight Armstrong just not on same wavelength..not his fault btw, he's not a left winger
On the plus side we have Jake O Brien back for Saturday at right back meaning Garner can resume his ineffective partnership with IGG in midfield so Armstrong can continue his development so we can rule out he's not a left winger for next season
Fully fit squad and at least 3 players out of position.
Can't be many teams in the league who have a fully fit squad available (bar 1) and yet still manage to put a team out there with at least 3 players in their wrong position.
I think he's done a decent job but I don't really see what he's trying to achieve at the moment. We are losing but not learning anything. I don't get playing Keane,IGG and then numerous players out of position every week.Season is done, let's see whether these fringe players are good enough.
The stick he gets is ridiculous. We literally have no creativity. Players too far away from him and the likes of Armstrong (not his fault) clueless in terms of going forward. Add a CM partnership who can't pass a ball it's not exactly stellar service.
I see Moyes is annoyed at the goal they scored. He should be more annoyed about the lack of creativity out wide and in the middle of the pitch. When the away form drops off (and it will) this season will end up being a fairly disappointing one where we have learnt v little.
I said after the cup defeat that now the season was done Moyes should integrate players into the team for the future. We are now nearly 2 months further on and we know v little about players who will hopefully be here next season but an awful lot about players who hopefully won't be.
Yeah absolutely. Started from a poor IGG cross...as you say 3-4 passes later, it's a goall
Overall a bit unlucky but our best midfielder at right back, our best centre back at left back and a centre mid playing left wing really doesn't help. Oh and we really need to think about dropping Gana Gueye!.
TRAINSPOTTING was released 30 years ago today. Acclaimed as one of the great British movies and a generation-defining piece of pop culture, the behind-the-scenes story is as lacking in moral fibre as youβd probably expectβ¦
