Mine was a task that got dropped and just like, so much shame. Unclear or confused then overwhelmed, not a place I feel like I can ask question and then in the past, used to being blamed for things beyond my control ๐

What are your assumptions?
The unknown and uncertainty is scary and there's comfort in habits, and habits are there because that's what's easiest and automatic to go to.
However, it's that exact automatic habit you're trying to break and breaking habits is incredibly hard.
You're fighting for longer-term you, def mention or try to seek out the other ways you find comfort as you navigate this discomfort too.
Why does it suck?
If it's because it's more comfortable to go back to that default, of course it's hard. But you're fighting the default habit of the way you found comfort and I'm going to guess it didn't provide the comfort you were looking for long-term and that's why you're trying something new.
No, but the most learning is during your most tolerable discomfort.
But it /has/ to be tolerable.
I'd suggest speaking up when it's intolerable, they should help work through it.
If they don't, or if there is too much discomfort, I encourage you to keep searching for other people to talk to.
