One of the few positive long term benefits of the USSR (depending on how much you enjoy the fact that scandis have high quality of life)
Saw an obvious Zara shopping female in t90s the other day.
Nothing is sacred anymore.
Also USSR was never a good alternative to the west.
The only solid alternative for me was Yugoslavia, non aligned movement and until it shot itself to bits was a very peaceful nation functioning within some realm of socialism with relatively high output and prosperity.
I didn’t mean alternative in that sense I meant it as the ‘opposition’…
It’s just very noticeable how very good and left wing movements have been hijacked by this leniency on Russia (not a huge issue rn but it’s very noticeable)
It’s just sad that bc of the wests disgraces people are slowly becoming more lenient on the alternative to the west which is ludicrous.
All this instead of just admitting that Russias an evil, imperialist state headed by a tyrant.
He’s talking about the USSR and Berlin Wall when Ukrainians are being striked every day…

Saddest thing is when you see a rly good political account start posting anti-Ukraine or posts lenient to Russia bc they saw a tweet that Putin supports Palestine.
Heads acc so gone man how can I see people speaking in an educated manner saying Russias imperialism is purely down to western aggression.
It’s literally the most uneducated take you can have, and a very easy link to make for anyone who wants to seem revolutionary
Cringiest arc is when ppl criticise the west and start pandering for Putin etc.
You can hate the west, hate Israel etc without pandering for eastern tyrants to seem edgy in your circles.
