I just started reading Kyle Chayka’s “Filterworld: How Algorithms Flattened Culture” and find it fascinating so far. Maybe it’d be of interest to you too!

I do totally understand that wondering about social media though! It’s wild territory for us as a planet and species & there’s so much we still don’t understand about the long term impact, individually and globally. We might not even start to properly understand it in our lifetimes.

I would share examples but I was thinking more generally in terms of streaming platforms like Netflix or Hulu automatically playing a show it wants after I finish something. Kind of a hyperbolic joke about me getting hooked on low quality tv 😅
