Well, Celeste is a very impressive game, one of my favorites as well ๐

Not yet! But I haven't played the original either, so I want to do it first, so I can appreciate the improvements in the remake.
I posted a game for Y and then the feed showed me that you had arrived 5 minutes earlier with your pick ๐ซ oh well, still interesting to see how different our answers were ๐
Y: Yooka-Laylee and the Impossible Lair
As a huge Donkey Kong fan, I couldn't wait to see how Rare would fare returning to the world of 2D platformers. And it didn't disappoint! Probably in my top 10 of the genre, this game is wonderful.
She's super good. Lots of combo potential, a great recovery move and some really fast aerial tools too. As far as Mash goes, I am as casual of a player as it gets, but if I decided to really learn the game, I would do it either with Link or with her.
Hell yeah
Same!! Smash 4 had some of my favorite inclusions, especially her and Duck Hunt, with their whole moveset being based on the zapper. Some really well designed and clever movesets there!!
She's a menace, I'm telling you!
I love how the Castlevania guys play in Smash, they're super faithful to the games, but most of the time I prefer faster characters.
Spamming holy water on the ledge never gets old, tho ๐คฃ.
If you see this, share your Smash Bros main
Yep
I'm not even gonna play, it can't get any better/worse than this.
That looks awesome
Same, it's one of my favorites
That's why I love Digimon. Look at it, just some bullshit with sunglasses. Amazing.
Unlike Palworld, they'll actually lose the lawsuit ๐
It's called Pickmon because they're just picking random Pokemons and changing them a little bit.
The definition of vibeโข
Legends say it includes its own >pick it up pick it up< horn
Almost a decade after playing the first one, I finally started Guacamelee 2, and just like that, almost five hours of gameplay have passed.
What a great game! Challenging, funny, creative... I may have to find the time to replay the original in the near future.
Does it retell the story of the game? Because if so, I might want to wait a bit to watch it haha but it's good to know it's good!
Yeah, the story is good and the end was satisfying, but by the final stretch I was getting a little tired of the gameplay. If it was like three hours longer, I probably would have stopped before finishing it as well haha
I finished Sakuna: Of Rice and Ruin. Very good, but perhaps a little too long; I didn't think the combat held up for the almost 26 hours it took me to roll the credits.
But the art, soundtrack, engaging farming mechanics and the lovable cast of characters all made the experience well worth it!
Post some of your favourite female video game characters for International Women's Day.
Asha is such a good choice. I still need to play that remake.
Happy International Women's Day to all the rad women around!
Whether you were born a woman, or discovered yourself as such later, you are valid, you are important, and you deserve to live in a world that allows you to have peace and be carefree.
That makes a lot of sense. By the time their childhood game gets a sequel, those kids are already teenagers and moved on to other things. That's probably part of the reasons why "endless" games like Minecraft and Fortnite are so popular with kids, because they can last their whole childhood.
The Mario RPG remake is one I need to get my hands on sometime, I love the original! But I'll probably play The Thousand-Year Door first.
And to be honest, I'm saving Luigi's Mansion 3 for Halloween haha
That would be ideal. Expensive AAA games kinda need to exist - they're what sell consoles and advance the industry in terms of graphical fidelity and technology - but a balance between them and smaller games, like there was two generations ago, would be very good.
I'd never heard of this game, but (for obvious reasons), it seems like it's right up my alley. The sprite art looks great! I'll definitely see if I can find the time to check it out. Thanks for the review!
